Williams, John, -1905?

Artist, who worked with Cyprian Bridge in pictorially documenting some incidents in the New Zealand wars in the 1840s. He was a soldier of the 58th Regiment having enlisted at Ardacrow on 20 June 1842. While in New Zealand he held the rank of Lance-sergeant. His birth date and place of birth may be available from the Public Record Office (London) in the Pay list and Muster Roll for 58th Regiment, June Qtr 1842.
