Printer, trade unionist, politician, writer, teacher; lived mostly in Wellington, briefly in Melbourne, and in Christchurch from 1920. Son of John Rigg (1821?-1889) and Catherine Campbell (née Leckie) (See DNZB Vol 2, 1870-1900, p423-424)
