NZ Baptist Theological College

Founded in 1926. Classes first conducted by the Principal, the Rev. J.J. North at the Tabernacle. In 1928 a large property was purchased on Mt Hobson and this was the site for the College until 1953 when the present [1987] site at 85 Victoria Avenue was purchased for #18,500. The College sits on over 5 acres of land and since 1953 single student accommodation and married student flats as well as staff houses have been added to the complex.
