Daughter of William Smith (1804-1838) and Ann Wilson (1804-1880). Cousin of Sir Harry Albert Atkinson (1831-1892). Wife of James Crowe Richmond. Married at Flamstead, Hertfordshire in 1856. Mother of 3 sons and 2 daughters, including Maurice Wilson Richmond (1860-1919) (Professor at Victoria University of Wellington), and Dorothy Kate Richmond (1861-1935) (Artist).
