Parkinson, Sydney, 1745-1771

Artist on the first voyage of Captain James Cook to the South Pacific, 1768-1771. He made many botanical and ethnographic drawings in and around the Pacific, before his death on the return journey between Batavia (Djakarta, Indonesia) and the Cape of Good Hope.
