Lightband, George William Wales, 1834?-1909

Drowned in Nelson in 1909. He was the son of George Lightband who brought his family out to Nelson in 1842. (See biographical details of the father in NZ Biographies 1953, volume 3, page 4). Accompanied Reve William Jenkins, and a group of Maori, to England in 1863.
