Journalist, poet, novelist, editor, soldier. Son of Alan Edward Mulgan (1881-1962) and Marguerita (Rita) Blomfield (née Pickmere; fl 1907-1962). Married Angela Gabrielle Wanklyn in 1937. See DNZB (Vol 4,1921-1940, p363-364, M68). Author of `Man Alone'.
