Bryce, John (Hon), 1833-1913

Farmer, soldier, politician. Member of Parliament for Wanganui 1866-1887, for Waitotara 1881-1887, Waipa 1889-1890, and Waikato 1890-1891. Minister of Native Affairs 1879-1884. Associated with the Parihaka incident and the Bryce vs Rusden libel case.
