Built in Dunedin in 1867 for the Harbour Steam Co. Sold in 1872 to N Edwards & Co (then owned by John Symons and the Shipping Dept which traded under the name of the Anchor Line of Steam Packets). Sold to Anchor Steam Shipping Co by estate of J Symons, Dec 1880. Altered from paddle to screw, 1884. Wrecked on retaining wall at Greymouth when entering river 14 Oct 1885. Vessel was badly holed and became a total wreck.
