St. John's (Church : Wellington, N.Z.), St. John's in the City Presbyterian Church (Wellington, N.Z.)

Located on the corner of Willis and Dixon Streets. Presbyterian church, established 1854. The second church and sunday school were destroyed by fire in May 1884. Early registers were probably lost at this time. Transcriptions of the marriage registers, Nov 1866-Apr 1897, are available on-line (http://www.stjohnsinthecity.org.nz/about/parish-registers.htm) Also an index of deaths mentioned in the Annual Reports, from 1890s onwards.
