Unity Theatre (Wellington, N.Z.)

Unity Theatre was a Wellington left-wing theatre or drama group; it was founded in 1942 and its first production was in 1943. It continued as an active theatre company until 1979-1980 (Oxford history of New Zealand literature and Oxford companion to New Zealand literature)

Some show 4 ft flat from Richard III, to be adapted for this production. Plan-90-1433 is signed by J. A. Beard along one side, possibly later. "The Cocktail party" was performed from 31 July to 8 August 1970 (see programme in Ephemera B UNITY 1970).
