Ruapehu (Ship : 1883-1897)
Three masted single-screw steamer of 4163 tons, built by J Elder & Co in 1883, for the New Zealand Shipping Co. Sold to the Beaver Line in 1897. See Ships with New Zealand Associations (Vol 3, p 430. Had minor stranding in Wellington Harbour in 1885 (See photographs in Martin album, at PA1-f-036, p 19).
