Lawyer, politician. Married Rosetta Lulah (née Leavy; later Kane; d 1934). Father of Frederick Ehrenfried (Eric) Baume, who became prominent as a journalist, broadcaster and novelist in Australia. See DNZB (Vol 2, 1870-1900, p29-30)
