Photograph showing a group of people standing on the verandah and in the grounds of Noble's Hotel, Taupo, taken during the New Zealand Wars (1860-1872) by an unidentified photographer.
Other - Note on back of file print identifies bandaged man as William Noble. Second note suggests: `A different source (another LP) gives: 1. Man by flagpole - A Bush fighter in the kilt; 2. Next man on left - Armed Constabulary; 3. First man past women - Maori Guide; 4. Two men in uniform on verandah - Troopers; 5. Man nearest grass on path - Mine Host of the Pub.'
