Includes copies of two letters in Maori about Waitara. The first letter is written by a young man from Waikanae who describes his observations about the Waitara dispute to his friends and relations at Waikanae.
The second letter is from several chiefs from Waikanae who dispute the right of Te Teira to dispose of land at Waitara which they claim an ancestral right to through the Ngati Tuaho and Ngati Hinga hapu.
