Coalition government under construction. 23 September, 2005.

Coalition government under construction. 23 September, 2005.

The scene is a construction site hidden from view by high fences on which are the words 'Keep out' and 'Restricted area'. The sign above the fence reads 'Coalition government under construction'. Two women are passing by and are curious to know what is going on. One of the women puts her eye to a peep-hole in the fence and goes rigid with horror. The second woman asks her what is going on. Refers to the fact that both Labour and National are striving to work out coalition possibilities in the week since the election which was so close that Labour cannot yet be entirely confident that it will be forming a new government.
