Explains the concept of vegetarian restaurants, particulary the first one in San Francisco. Gives a menu for sandwiches and breads. The proprietor appears to be Ernest C Hadfield, an agent for Sanitarium Heath Foods, and the cafe was at the foot of Wellesley Street, opposite the Opera House.
