The Alexander Turnbull Library SPC copy has a special binding, designed for the Man Booker Prize shortlisted novels in 2007. Binding: black morocco, blind tooled and gold tooled with honeysuckle motif across upper and lower covers and spine. Green and brown endpapers patterned with plant design. Gilt text edges, green, blue and gold headbands. Binder's label on flyleaf: Bound by Christopher Shaw. Gilt binder's stamp on lower turn-in with fish shape and the date 2007. Bound for Designer Bookbinders. In solander box with green paste paper sides, black morocco spine tooled in gold, green linen edges, lined with pink velvety fabric with watered silk pattern. Provenance: donated to the ATL by Lloyd Jones, Sept. 2008. Acc. 366326.
