Description: Includes photographs of Wanganui Collegiate School, with group portraits of sports teams, cadets, prefects, and one photograph of five school-masters. In most cases people are identified by surname and initials. Not all names have been listed in the name headings. Scenes of the school include exterior views of the old school, foundations of new buildings, an image of plans for the new chapel, and interior views of the chapel. From Wanganui Collegiate School, C F Harrison went to Caius College, Oxford; during that time he joined King Edward's Horse, Cambridge Detachment (King's Oversea Dominions Regiment), the album showing group portraits of members of the regiment. Description: A battle raging across a river with a tall hill to the right, based on a drawing supplied by Charles Heaphy. The Waiari fight was part of the Waikato-Tauranga campaign of the New Zealand Wars.
