Also includes some handwritten notes relating to the song of the riroriro, and a clipping of an article 'Birds in poetry' from John O'London's Weekly, 7 October 1922. The notes include a waiata supplied by Makurata (?) at Ruatahuna, relating to the riroriro bird (grey warbler), signalling the beginning of summer.
