Description: Topographic map of 2559 acres of the Taupo Swamp includes part of the coastline and the land behind. Adjoining areas are marked as Crown Land, Motuhara and Haukopua East, both of which were surveyed by Wyles and Buck. An area has been pencilled as Native Reserve. Description: Survey map with cadastral information, of part section 9, Block 12, Belmont Survey District, (Porirua County District), which was designated a Native (Maori) reserve. The section runs east of the old Porirua Road, southeast of Johnsonville and includes part of the old course of the Upper Ngauranga River. A road runs through the middle of the section. A long thin area of 29 acres running across the middle of the section is highlighted, with the name 'Enoka Hohepa and others (including roads)' written on it. This area has been skewed slightly (the previous highlight is faintly shown). North of the highlighted area is named part section number 9, 'Mere Pawa and others'. The remaining part of the section below the highlighted area bears no name. The faintly highlighted area includes the note: subdivision number 3 of section numbers 7 and 9. Government trigs and government blocks are identified in the survey. Stamped Survey Office Wellington 4793/7; 24 February 1890. Note on map states map meets regulations of the Survey of Native lands, and that the map has been forwarded to the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. Description: Cadastral map showing two Native (Maori) reserves in Wellington. The first is in Lowry Bay, and shows three sections, numbered 1, 3 and 4, which have two roads running through them, one unnamed and one named from the Hutt to Wainuiomata. Section 1 and 3 are shaded. Part of section 9 is indicated, with the name Mr Fitzherbert. Measurements are indicated in chains. The second Native (Maori) reserve states it is in Waiwetu (Waiwhetu), which is present day Seaview. It shows the mouth of the Hutt River and the Waiwhetu River, the Hutt race course, 11 acres and section 15, with the name Mr Wakefield. The name Waiwhetu refers to what is known on similar maps as the Waiwetu (Waiwhetu) Flat. It is present day Seaview, at the mouth of the Hutt River, and the Waiwhetu River (which may have been slightly diverted). Description: Topographic map, with some described features, of the area from Mohaka Whaling Station following the coast to Cape Kidnappers to Porangahau, including the Rua Taniwha Plains, the Kaweka Range and the Mohaka River. Includes the South, Totara, Aorangi, Otapahi, Hapuka, Mohaka and Ahuriri blocks in Central Hawke's Bay, with acreages and marked boundaries. Mountains, rivers, swamps, bush and settlements are named. Native reserves and pa sites are marked, as are native paths, also horse and walking tracks and supposed courses of rivers. A Roman Catholic Mission is marked between Napier and Cape Kidnappers, as are some churches. Land belonging to Harawira and Te Waka, Aram, Moananui, Kranama is marked, as is land to be granted to Wi Turoa. Other names include Beer and Rigby. Note on map states 'copy of tracing lent by J.G. A cattle station, Omakare [Omakere] Outstation, fencing, Omakare [Omakere] Creek, Waiwhero Creek, Onepoto Stream, and the 82 acre Maori reserve inland from the Pourerere River on the coast are also shown.
