Description: Shows the curve of Palliser Bay looking towards Cape Palliser, with a Maori pa in the left middle distance. Several canoes are drawn up on the land, standing on supports, and several fences have been erected near a dwelling. A European rowing boat (partially erased) is in the sea at the right. Dated from other views of the same area. Inscriptions: Recto - bottom left - [Title] Similar to the view at B-031-018. Quantity: 1 watercolour(s). Physical Description: Watercolour, 225 x 377 mm. Provenance: Sold by McArthur & Company, auction, in 1987, to NZ Insurance, for their boardroom.
