Description: Depicts one hand wearing a suit labelled National handing a cup of tea to another hand wearing a suit labelled Banks. Text: differs between the four cartoons. Context: Prime Minister John Key had a cup of tea with ACT Party Epsom candidate John Banks in a Newmarket cafe on 11 November 2011 and invited media as a photo opportunity to demonstrate National Party support for Banks' election to Parliament in 2011 General Elections. Cameraman Bradley Ambrose left his equipment on the table and unwittingly recorded their conversation. The recordings were given to The Herald on Sunday, but not published. John Key laid a complaint to police over the taping of his conversation with Banks, and refused to grant permission for publication of the conversation. Ambrose sought a ruling by the High Court on whether it was a private or public conversation. Justice Helen Winkleman declined to make a declaratory order. The event was maybe inadvertently recorded and then there was a furore over whether the possibly embarrassing conversation should be made public or not.
