Description: The first (top) image shows a view from the water of the harbour, with (from left) the ship "Cressy" arriving, the bridle Road to the Plain, the wharves and pier of Lyttelton, the Immigration Barracks, Mr Godley's house, and the Sumner Road to Lyttelton. The lower image shows a view from the land towards the harbour, with (from left) the Sumner Road to Lyttelton, Mr Godley's House and the Immigration Barracks, the East Shore of Victoria Harbour, the "Charlotte Jane", "Randolph", "Cressy", and "Sir George Seymour".
