Recalls entering general practice at Te Karaka succeeding Dr Gordon Ellis, importance of general practice in Te Karaka with lack of hospials in area, also that of Plunket and district nurses and cooperation with them, health practices of large Maori population, transport in rural East Cape, need to function as accident and emergency clinic because of bad roads, later life in Gisborne.
