James Smith Ltd moved into an Edwardian building on the corner of Manners and Cuba Streets in 1921. This was remodled in a fashionable "art deco" style in 1932. In 1934 this building was substantially added to along Manners Street in a matching style. This interior, if it is in James Smith Ltd premises, belongs to one or other of the remodlings.
