Notes on the back identify, from left 'Stock yard, cow shed and wood shed', 'Lutomus (?) house' (a neighbouring house); 'Poultry house'; 'The House'; 'Shepherds house and kitchen'; 'Dairy & horse'; 'Water'; 'Tent'. Another note states 'The distant hills are thickly wooded - but in at the back of them is a fine open country - The land all round the House is open & fertile - the bush being but a narrow belt about a mile long, following windings of a nice creek of good water.' Nine-part panorama forming a complete circle, of the view from the parsonage attached to St James Anglican Church Lower Hutt. Shows the parsonage with surrounding houses and farms, cleared land, roads, bush and hills in the background. There are men on horseback, a light horse-drawn trap, men ploughing with a horse-drawn plough, and a wagon drawn by two horses.
