Description: Shows the lake with mooring poles in the foreground, a wooden jetty at the right, and further away at right, a boatshed with a paddle-steamer pulled up beside it. (Possibly the paddle-steamer "Antrim", constructed in 1868, or the "Mountaineer" built in 1879 - see R J Meyer's "All aboard" (NZ Railway & Locomotive Society, 1980), frontispiece and page 22). Paddle steamer is the Antrim, built 1868. Inscriptions: Recto - bottom left - title, date and initials Quantity: 1 watercolour(s). Physical Description: Watercolour on card 160 x 225 mm Provenance: Wilkie family, heirs of Sir William Fox. Probably given by Hogkins to Fox, along with another drawing, WC-068, another work with the same provenance.
