Description: Panoramic view from hillside into a gully with creek running through to farmhouses below and opposite on hill. Surrounding land is rugged and littered with broken tree trunks and branches. Large two-storeyed barn in the centre of image. Cottage farmhouse in the gully has willows and several outbuildings around it. A villa on the hill opposite has a few outbuildings and a row of fir trees nearby. Taken by Robert Percy Moore. Description: The Minister of Health, Pete Hodgson, sits behind his desk holding onto the original Paritutu dioxin study with a long handled pincer. He states that peer reviews have found the original study to be valid. Refers to the errors that were found in the original study being found not to have effected the main findings of the study. It was found that people living in the vicinity of the the former Ivon Watkins Dow agrochemical plant, in particular for at least 15 years between 1962 and 1987 had been exposed to high levels of dioxin, a contaminant that is a by-product of 245T.
