Description: View of the Lake House Tourist Hotel at Lake Waikaremoana. Photograph probably taken by John William McDougall (editor of the Daily Telegraph in Napier between 1905 and 1914.) Other - Photographer identified from Wise's Post Office Directory between 1905 and 1914, the only McDougall living anywhere near Lake Waikaremoana.A researcher has found a photograph by 'HH McDougall' who also lived in Napier at this time, so may possibly be the photographer. He was the son of John William McDougall. Inscriptions: Photographer's title on negative - bottom left - Lake House, Waikaremoana. Description: Lake House Hotel, Lake Waikaremoana. A horse-drawn wagon is drawing up to the front of the hotel and two men and a woman are standing on the verandah of the hotel. Photographed circa 9 March 1910 by John William McDougall. A researcher has found a photograph by 'HH McDougall' who also lived in Napier at this time, so may possibly be the photographer. He was the son of John William McDougall.
