There are a number of ways to search for information that the National Library and Alexander Turnbull Library hold. A good place to start is searching on the website. Look for the magnifying glass icon at the top of the library’s website to search for published and unpublished items that the Library has concerning New Zealand, the Pacific and the world.

You can use the National Library Catalogue to search specifically for published items such as books, maps, magazines or journals.

You can use the Alexander Turnbull catalogue Tiaki to search specifically for unpublished material such as manuscripts, photographs, drawings and paintings or rare books.
