The Long Take: Robin Robertson
Robin Robertson performs his poetry
Come and hear Robin Robertson, one of Britain's most acclaimed poets, perform his poetry and speak with poet Harry Ricketts about his work and his other life as an editor at Jonathan Cape.
In his other life as an editor he has worked with Irvine Welsh, Anne Enright, Michael Ondaatje and Alice Oswald among others.
His recently released book-length narrative poem, The Long Take, is 'a beautiful, vigorous and achingly melancholy hymn to the common man that is as unexpected as it is daring'.
'Here we have a poet at the peak of his symphonic powers taking a great risk, and succeeding gloriously.' — John Banville, The Guardian
