Telling your stories with Digital Pasifik and DigitalNZ
Connect with your culture and identity from across Aotearoa and the wider Pacific. The Digital Pasifik and DigitalNZ websites are fantastic resources for engaging with collections and sharing your stories.
Telling stories about our past to nurture our future
This talk will include a general overview of DigitalNZ and Digital Pasifik, two services which aggregate digital collections and have a range of features people can use to engage with them. They work with over 200 content partners to bring together and expose those collections.
Telling stories — we will look at the story features available, which are a bit different across the two sites.
DigitalNZ stories allow users to curate a page of items on a theme of their choice, compose a narrative around them, and even upload their own images alongside our content partner items.
Digital Pasifik call their ‘stories’ function “User Contributions”. It is designed to allow users of the site to share their knowledge, thoughts or memories about the records with others.
