LAGANZ, InsideOUT and Wellington Zinefest bring you Volume Three of our The Archive is Alive zine! Created by a group of rangatahi aged between 12 and 16, this zine explores the many ways youth have shaped queer histories in Aotearoa.
The stories of Aotearoa's rainbow rangatahi
From the ‘pashes’ kept secret in 1930s classrooms to the proud defiance of youth who have organised and attended alternative school balls in the last decade, our rainbow rangatahi have always been powerful forces in Aotearoa’s queer histories.
The Archive is Alive! Vol. 3 is about honouring queer youth voice throughout the decades, aiming to uplift side-lined histories while also encouraging today’s young people that their stories matter, and deserve to be celebrated too.
A launch party for vol 3 of The Archive is Alive!
Come along to our zine launch to learn more about these histories from youth themselves, and join with us in celebrating all the hard work participants have put into creating volume 3.
Bring your families and friends! (Non-alcoholic) drinks and nibbles will be provided, the zine will be officially inducted into the archives, and you’ll be among the first to have a chance to get your hands on the newest edition of The Archive is Alive!
