DigitalNZ — what's new
DigitalNZ brings together the digital collections of over 200 different organisations from across Aotearoa — the perfect site to peruse our collective digital taonga.
In this presentation, Thomasin Sleigh will introduce a selection of freshly added collections, share some interesting finds, as well as discuss more widely the complexities of metadata, discoverability, and the ways in which online search is changing.
Following Thomasin’s talk there will be an opportunity to get preservation advice on the care, handling and storage of your treasured family items from Field Conservator Vicki-Anne Heikell. Please note that conservators are not able to provide valuations.
About the speaker
Thomasin Sleigh is Community Manager at DigitalNZ. She promotes and seeks out new audiences for the digitalnz.org website and data service, through public presentations, social media, and a range of other outreach activities.
She is also responsible for testing digitalnz.org with the people who use the site and advocating for a user-centered approach to DigitalNZ’s design and development.
