Join us to commemorate the centenary of Alexander Turnbull's death and the gift of his library to the people of New Zealand with a memorial hikoi walk of remembrance.
We will meet outside the front doors of the National Library of New Zealand to begin the hikoi to the Turnbull headstone at Bolton Street Cemetery.
The hikoi walk of remembrance will have stops along the way to allow us to reflect and remember Alexander Turnbull. There will be waiata, laying of wreaths and short reflections.
The hikoi will go ahead rain or shine.

Mā wai rā
Mā wai rā e taurima
te marae i waho nei?
Mā te tika
Mā te pono
Me te aroha e
Noho au i taku whare
Whakarongo ki te tangi
O te manu
Rere i runga
Rere waho e
Tō ripeka ki au
Tiaho mai rā roto i te pō
Hei konā au
Titiro atu ai
Hei au koe noho ai
Me te rangimarie
Tātou tātou e
