General Reference Collection

The General Reference Collection includes a large range of resources to support our reference services. It includes print and electronic resources covering all subjects.

The General Reference Collection provides access to a number of online databases that are available for use when visiting the Library.

The collection includes a wide range of international reference works on all subjects, including:

• atlases

• dictionaries

• directories

• encyclopedias

• indexing and abstracting publications

• yearbooks.

Access items in this collection

Search for collection items, and the click "Request to view" on the item page, or make your request by contacting us. Items in this collection may only be used onsite at the Library's Wellington Reading Room. The Library doesn't lend items from this collection.

Get copies from items in this collection

Copies can be made from items in this collection if copying doesn’t breach copyright. Photocopiers, and printers for microfiche and microfilm readers are available for use in the Library's Reading Room.
