Most indexed materials date from 1989 onwards but there are some earlier materials. Index Auckland - Auckland City Libraries
Index Auckland has references to articles on history, art, theatre, film and music for the Auckland area. Many articles are from Auckland City suburban newspapers, particularly from 1996.
Index New Zealand (INNZ) – National Library of New Zealand
INNZ provides descriptions and citations to articles in over 1000 New Zealand and South Pacific newspaper and journal titles from 1987 to the present. Some pre-1987 items are added retrospectively. Concentrates on popular journals, scholarly journals in arts, humanities and social sciences, professional and trade journals and newspapers. Ideal for general and research enquiries at secondary school level and upwards. Approximately 3000 new records added monthly.
INNZ chapters from books/conference papers – National Library of New Zealand
This index includes approximately 8,000 records for individual chapters from monograph and monographs-in-series, including individual conference papers, published 1999 and earlier. These citations were removed from Index New Zealand in June 1999, when it became a serials-only database at the time of migration to the Voyager system.

Māori Bibliography – University of Waikato
A subject index to information on Māori topics appearing in books, conference proceedings and selected periodicals. The bibliography is intended to supplement other sources of information – it does not index material that can easily be found in the University of Waikato Library Online Catalogue (that is, complete books, theses and serials on Māori topics) or in Index New Zealand (INNZ) or Index to New Zealand Periodicals. The bibliography does include publications which contain Māori information that can not quickly be found because the title of the work does not indicate Māori content, or the subject headings used are not detailed enough.
New Zealand science journals – Royal Society of New Zealand
This index includes approximately 10,000 records for New Zealand science journals from 1918 to 1994. The science journals include: Journal of the Royal Society of New Zealand, New Zealand journal of agricultural research, New Zealand journal of botany, New Zealand journal of crop and horticultural science, New Zealand journal of experimental agriculture, New Zealand journal of geology and geophysics, New Zealand journal of marine and freshwater research, New Zealand journal of science, New Zealand journal of science and technology and New Zealand journal of zoology.
