Guardians of the NZ Cartoon Archive

Chaired by Ian F Grant, founder of the NZ Cartoon Archive, it meets once or twice a year with ATL staff most involved with the running of the Cartoon Archive. Accumulated funds at the time the Turnbull Library took full control of the Cartoon Archive, and subsequent revenue from books, are held by the ATL Endowment Fund and administered by the Guardians.

The primary role of the Guardians is to promote greater awareness of the Cartoon Archive and the educational and historical importance of editorial cartoons through publications, exhibitions, lectures, etc.
