Most of our event spaces support these configurations, however, some are limited to certain types.
If you need something different, get in touch and we will tailor a solution that works for your event.
We are here to make your event a success. We will help with:
- set-up and pack-down
- AV support, and
- general assistance.
All events in our building require support from our venues team, with one staff member required for every 50 attendees for health and safety reasons.
There is only a charge for staff support services if your event occurs outside of Library business hours.

Equipment and resources
We make planning your event easy by providing most of the equipment and resources you need in-house, including:
- digital signage
- microphones, and
- AV equipment.
Most of our event spaces have dedicated equipment and resources. If you require anything additional let us know and we will endeavour to provide what you need.
If we cannot provide what you need we will engage our partners to source what you need at an additional cost to you.
For technically complex events in our Auditorium, our technology partner can provide an experienced technician to handle all aspects of your AV requirements.
Let us know if you want to use a projector for your event. We'll make sure someone is available to assist you.
You'll need to provide the media you want to project on an unencrypted USB device.
We provide dedicated presentation laptops in all of our spaces that include basic software like Microsoft Office, so you don't need to worry about bringing your own laptop. Bring any media you want to use with the laptop on an unencrypted USB device.

We can provide digital signage for your event via the multi-screen panel in the Tiakiwai Foyer.
We do not offer our own catering service.
We can recommend catering partners who we have worked with or you can engage your own caterer.
Security staff and duty manager
Security staff are only required if your event occurs outside of Library business hours.
If you require a Duty Manager, and we are unable to provide one as part of our event support services, we can organise this for you at an additional cost.
