The house on the right was brought out from England in sections and was owned by Edward John Eyre before being bought by Edward Gibbon Wakefield who lived there at the time this photograph was taken. The photographer is unidentified. Note on back of file print reads: Tinakori Road. House on the right is where Edward Gibbon Wakefield lived, Governor Eyre (later of Jamaica) previously lived in this house which was sent out from England in sections.
