Description: This cartoon relates to the Watergate Affair and charges of conspiracy against President Nixon. It features a domestic living room. A youth is holding a newspaper which has a headline about the scandal and is complaining to his father who is sitting on a sofa reading another part of the paper, that his mother is so ignorant of what is happening in politics that she thinks Watergate is related to a completely different issue, the raising of the level of Lake Manapouri for a hydro-electric dam.
