In 1987 it began a Master of Theology course in Pacific Church History. The thesis is an integral part of the College's Bachelor of Divinity and Master of Theology courses. Description: The journal includes detailed entries from 16 Apr 1902 to Feb 1904, documenting Neil's voyage to Samoa, his work there, the Methodist Mission's operations and policies, and the lives and activities of the Samoans. There are also comments on the German administration. From Aug 1904 to Jun 1918 there are intermittent entries on mission policy, business and accounting matters, as well as verse in English and Samoan. The last entry is the text for an inscription on a marble tablet to commemorate the erection of Piula Colllege. Source of title - Transcribed Neil, while a missionary in Western Samoa, was noted for his involvement in Mission education and building programmes, designing and building the Gaga'emalae mission house, the Wesleyan School at Satupa'itea and Piula College at Lufilufi.
