A first edition copy of Eleanor Catton's 2013 Man Booker Prize winning novel 'The Luminaries', which contains over 4000 words of extensive annotated marginalia by the author. Eleanor Catton annotated the novel for the 'First Edition, Second Thoughts' fundraising auction held at Christie's, London in June-July 2022.

The annotations appear at all angles of the margins and often curve around the body of the novel's text to continue into other blank spaces.
