"Stop the Tour 1976" protest in Wellington

- Description
All frames taken during a night event with people protesting against the 1976 rugby tour to South Africa in which the All Blacks finally toured with Māori and Samoan players as "honorary whites." They are probably outside the Wellington Town hall. Frame 1 shows a group of young pākehā men standing under a banner which reads "For all rugby tours." A strong police presence is visible in frames 2 to 5, and 12. A large group are sitting on the ground, (probably listening to speeches) in frame 7. A group of Māori (in frames 8 to 12) are seen with a large banner "Ka whawhai tonu mātou. Ake! Ake! Ake!." [We will fight on for ever and ever]. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified.
