- Date
- 24 February 1956

- Description
Depicts a farmyard scene with Auckland Mayor John Luxford as a farmer ('Old Man Luxford') leaning on a fence and reading a newspaper. The farmyard contains a number of traditional farm animals (pigs, cows, chickens, ducks and a farm dog) that are being terrorised by baby crocodiles. Traditional stock feed has been replaced with 'Best Algae'. Brown's Island is visible in the background. Refers to two news stories, the first that the Auckland Council was considering farming Brown's Island and the second that farmed crocodiles 'pay dividends'.
