All images show progress of the demolition of the General Post Office between Customhouse Quay and Lambton Quay. Several scenes show the use of a powerful hose to dampen dust. Image 12 shows the view across to the small building that was once the tram driver's resthouse and one of the Harbour Board buildings in the background. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
