Copy by an unknown Dutch artist after Parkinson's engraving published in John Hawkesworth (1773) 'A view of the Island of Otaheite ...' from Captain James Cook's first voyage to the Pacific. Shows a raft and three large canoes with outriggers, sails and, in two cases, superstructures. Houses on shore amongst coconut palms to the right and people on shore in the left foreground. Verso shows handwritten text in Dutch.
There is some variation in the details between this and the engraved version.
