Description

The papers of the Ngati Poneke Club include programmes relating to its performances as well as other groups of Maori entertainers (1930-1989). There are letters relating to the origin of the Ngati Poneke Young Maori Club (1957) and a letter informing Mrs R Utiku of her life membership of the club (1978). Also included are booklets, `New Zealand Centennial Exhibition; The Maori Court', `The Church and the Maori 1808-1958', `Nga Moteatea, part 2, Nga waiata 149-161' and issues of `Whiti ora' (Mar 1968, Feb 1969, Feb 1970).

Also includes papers relating to Ngati Poneke's association with HMS `Ramillies' during World War Two; files associated with Jonathan Dennis's involvement with the Ngati Poneke project including hsitorical material, drafts, notes etc

There is also a CD of the launch of the book and CD `Silent migration'

Also contains, electronic copies of the interviews and an electronic draft of the history of Ngati Poneke `The Silent Migration'
