Shows a group of sheep on a grassy hillside in the foreground. Beyond them is lower land covered with bush, stretching back to a lake, with hills in the distance. At the far right a plume of smoke rises in the still, golden air.
The suggested location of this watercolour is doubtful. It may show a Hawkes Bay scene, where the artist was based, rather than a Wairarapa scene.
